June 2007
"Landcare Trust" together with the
"Selwyn Council" ,in collaboration with "The Nut Point"
,conducted it's June 2007 Public Workshop.
The event took place at the Nut
Point and the group got to visit some interesting sites in the
area, exploring some unique native plants that have become rare
in recent years.
After a wonderful BBQ lunch courtesy
of Andrew Mactier
from the Selwyn Council,
The group enjoyed a well presented
with humour planting demonstration conducted by
Nick Ledgard
& Miles Giller
The demonstration gave some really
good hints for even experienced gardeners.
At the end of the day, people that
where able gave a helping hand on site, practicing the tricks
that were demonstrated earlier.
Thank you to the organizers at" Land care
Trust ", "Selwyn Council" and any other that contributed to this
workshop.
Special thanks to Frances Schmechel for
the initiation and motivation.
